Dandeli Syntheri Rock
A spectacular sight located in deep jungle of Joida Taluk, It is one of the biggest single Rock in India. We have to climb down 220 Steps to reach the Rock. Kavala caves
natural caves located deep inside the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. A by-product of volcanic activity these caves are believed to be in existence since the prehistoric times. Kavala caves or Siddan cave is situated at a distance of 23 Kms from Dandeli and 3200 feet above the sea level. About 150 feet inside the cave a Shiva Linga is present. A small stream of water falls on the Shiva Linga, which gives the feeling that an ‘abhishekha’ is performed to Lord Shiva. Presently the caves are inhabited by numerous snakes and bats. There are also known as Limestone Caves . Visitors need to climb down 375 steps to reach the cave entrance where there is a temple.

Sathodi Falls

65 kms from Dandeli. During monsoon falls is closed for tourist due heavy water flow. You can visit in winter and summer. Located near Yellapur, 20 km from yellapur. Sathodi Satoddi Falls is a waterfall in India that is formed by several unnamed streams near Kallaramarane Ghat, Uttara Kannada District, near Sirsi, and 32 km from Yellapur. It is about 15 metres (49.2 feet) tall. The stream then flows into the backwaters of the Kodasalli Dam, into the Kali River. This is also known as “Queen of Waterfalls” and you need to visit this place to know the real reason. Sathodi Falls is a more delightful sight to behold but unfortunately it has never got its share of limelight. The milky white water cascading down the steep slope creating natural music and the serene picturesque rectangular view makes it a perfect place where one will forget all the worries and tensions of life. It is best to visit the falls in winter, from early November to the end of march. Avoid the rainy season.

Dudhsagar Falls

65 kms from Dandeli. Best to visit from August to January. It is located in karnataka and goa border near castal rock.

Castle Rock is border village of the district beyond which is Goa. 10 Kms from Castle rock in the middle of thick forest, along the railway track, the Doodh Sagar falls gives a feast to the tourists eyes. The area is also a “trekker’s paradise”, in every sense.

The waterfall is generally packed with tourists after the monsoon season to witness the very famous white milky falls. A picture speaks a thousand words. But even a thousand pictures fall short of what hit us when we first laid our eyes on these Dudhsagar waterfalls.

This place has become favorite place for some film director to shoot. Kannada MAINA , DUDHSAGAR film and Hindi Sharukhan’s Chennai Express film Sean was shooted here.
